Parasite Diner is a collaborative performance and public event which will unfold in the artist residency m4gastatelier between September 2020 and February 2021. Revolving around a temporary scenography featuring a fermentation lab, it will feature collaborations with three artists working with food and three artists focused on documentation and working with different media. The project include dine-in moments for a small public, and take-out materials for a wider outreach. The format of the diner in the living and working environment of m4gastatelier invites for experimentations with publicity and privacy in domestic space.
The project will be carried out, curated and designed by Freja Kir, Paolo Patelli with Aram Lee.
This longer-term format allows fanfare to form an inclusive and collaborative framework from which to directly reflect on and react to the unpredictable moment of public restrictions.
The first collaboration fanfare and m4gastatelier took place in 2019.
