In the mid-1990’s Lampe more and more began using the computer in order to create his work, making compilations of landscape photo’s. Here he discovered a way of working that, to him, felt unexpectedly similar to the painting process. Using his bike and camera he reconstructs the complex and multiple experience of watching landscapes. In the wink of an eye we distinguish distances, depths and close proximity.
