Bart Stuart & Klaar van der Lippe work together since 2005. Their field of interest is art in public space. Bart holds a bachelor in fine arts with a specialty in monumental sculpture and Klaar has studied art and architecture.
They work with ideas rather than objects and think in a visual and performative way about social processes. They work in an international context and realize work and projects all over the world and teach and lecture at different universities about how to activate and appropriate public space for communal use. From the poorest of areas of the Peruvian capital Lima to the high street of London, the main objective is to bring everyday authorship into the public domain. They see art as a practice of partakers.
